Hi friends,

We're finally home after 17 days away, and my heart is so full.

We spent nine days in North Idaho with dear friends and another eight days in Colorado. We wrapped up the trip with three nights at Red Rocks listening to The Avett Brothers, and somehow we were sitting in the front row every night. It still doesn't feel real.

This trip was exactly what our family needed.

One thing Brian wrote while we were gone has really stuck with me. He shared how strange it has been to be recognized by people ever since Nate took over our social media. Airports, stores, even at Red Rocks... people have stopped to say hello.

Can I just say... if you ever see us out somewhere, please come say hi. We really are just normal people trying to navigate life like everyone else. We love getting to meet the people who have been following along and cheering us on.

Some of my favorite moments weren't even the big ones. They were the little reminders that people are incredibly kind.

Friends opened their homes to us.

The Avett Brothers gifted our family tickets.

When we realized there wasn't an accessible shower where we were staying, everyone just... figured it out. Buckets of hot water, a hose in the backyard, and a whole team working together. Somehow Brian actually enjoyed it.

Brian also got to spend time with several families living with ALS. Watching him encourage people who are just beginning this journey reminded me why we continue sharing our story.

This vacation reminded me of something I've known all along.

Community changes everything.

Thank you for being part of ours.
